The seeds can be eaten raw, ground into a meal, sprouted, made into a milk using a blender, or  prepared as tea.

Ein Prat

Filed under Jewish, Land of Israel by Chana Rachel

This morning, some of the new olim (those who came home to Eretz Israel from the exile - right of return) from Ma’ale Adumim went on a great tiyul (trip) to Ein Prat.  Ein Prat is only a short ride (20 minutes) away from Ma’ale Adumim and is one of Israel’s National Parks.   Views are breathtaking and at the bottom of the Wadi, was a wonderful cooling stream of water.  Since this is the Judean Desert, most would expect there to be no water at this time of year, but the water is from underground and is available throughout the whole year.
