About Me
With years of experience (nearly 30) in the Vegetarian world serving both as an assistant to many top Vegan chefs at NAVS Summerfests, as a former board member of the North American Vegetarian Society, Chana (Anne) Rachel Mark decided 5 years ago, to embark on her raw food journey. Coming from a mostly cooked vegan world, she had already dismissed the use of animal foods. Therefore, the step forward to raw was not as dramatic as with most people. After immigrating to the Land of Israel in July of 2007, she has found the Land to be spiritually vibrant, abundant in produce, and the people eager to discover the healthy RAW lifestyle.
Chana Rachel is certified as a Raw Chef by Living Light Culinary Arts Institute based in Fort Bragg and is also certified by the Ekaya Institute of Living Foods as a personal lifestyle coach, raw foods nutrition specialist, and a certified raw personal trainer.
Although many of her raw foods classes are taught in the beautiful Jerusalem suburb of Ma’ále Adumim, she also teaches classes in Jerusalem and Herzliya. Besides her classes, Chana Rachel is available for private consultations and can travel to most places in Israel to meet clients as well as phone consultations from around the world. She has written an E-Book, Pasta~The Raw Way and is in the process of writing Chock Full of (Raw) Chocolate, and Jewish Foods~The RAW Way. Along with classes and consultations, Chef Chana Rachel provides “Grab ‘N Go (Take Out Foods) for all types of venues. The first raw foods wedding in Israel was catered under the auspices of her Israel Gone Raw company back in January of 2009 in Hadera.
